Experience

Jian Zhou is the Social Development Specialist (Safeguards) at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and outposted to PRC Resident Mission. He has over 20 years of professional experience in resettlement and social impact assessment. Before joining ADB in 2019, he was a researcher at the National Research Center for Resettlement, and a consultant for ADB, WB, EIB and USAID. He is the main drafter of Social Assessment Guidelines for Municipal Utilities Projects issued by PRC’s Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. He has been involved in processing and implementation of 8 FI projects in PRC.
