Oliver Warner has been advising financial institutions on sustainable finance and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) for the last 20 years in Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America, with the last 14 years in Singapore. Oliver was previously Sustainable Finance Manager at Standard Chartered Bank, focused on emerging markets, where he advised on transactions. He has a strong understanding of the practical application of international environmental and social standards, having both worked for financiers and assisted projects in navigating financiers’ E&S expectations. Oliver has substantial firsthand experience in more than 20 countries in Asia in multiple sectors, and he has authored or coauthored publications on sustainable finance commissioned by financial institutions and for the Equator Principles Association. Oliver is a Chartered Environmental Professional, a full member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), a Registered Principal Environmental Auditor in the UK, and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society in London.
