Experience

Anastasia is responsible for overseeing the support to the decision-making authorities of the MCDF in the Governance team and key governance arrangements. Working closely with the Program and Platform teams of the MCDF, she also is responsible for coordinating a number of cross-thematical areas within the MCDF.

Anastasia has over 15 years of experience in policy and project management, with expertise in governance and investment climate, infrastructure, digitalization and corporate governance. Her regional coverage includes over 25 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Northern Africa and Middle East. Prior to joining the MCDF, she was an Associate Director, Senior Counsellor with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), where she most recently led the investment climate and governance work in Central Asia and Turkey.

Prior to joining the EBRD, Anastasia practiced law with the international law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York and Moscow, where she worked on large corporate and financial transactions across a number of infrastructure, productive and financial sectors.

Anastasia is a Russian national. She holds a master’s degree in law from Harvard Law School and a bachelor’s degree in law from the Moscow State University. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York and Russia.
