Burcu, an Associate Director at WSP's Environmental and Social Governance team, has extensive experience in the transport sector, specializing in land acquisition, livelihood restoration, and stakeholder engagement. With 23 years in social due diligence and impact assessments, she focuses on land resettlement planning, social risk assessment, and gender-inclusive planning. Burcu has worked on projects across various sectors including oil and gas, renewable energy, and infrastructure, delivering reports such as RAPs, ESIAs, and Livelihood Restoration Plans in line with IFI standards, including those of the World Bank, IFC, and EBRD. She has successfully led rural development projects and developed participatory monitoring systems for investments. Her expertise includes guiding government agencies and private clients in establishing Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS) and grievance mechanisms. Burcu has also contributed to policy dialogues and technical assistance programs in Turkey on social issues.
