Runze is an Investment Officer and Transport Specialist at AIIB’s PSC2, where he leads and manages multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-impact investment projects. His work is instrumental in expanding the Bank’s support for transport sector programs in client countries, with a focus on enhancing road connectivity, ports and logistics, railways, urban transportation, and road safety. Runze’s extensive experience spans infrastructure planning and development across Bahrain, China, Georgia, India, Malaysia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Before joining AIIB in March 2018, he held senior leadership roles in private sector-led urban development projects and served as a consultant to the World Bank. Runze holds a PhD in Transportation from the University of Washington, USA, and is a proud graduate of Tsinghua University, China. He hails from China.
