Sita Aripurnami is a Gender Specialist for Indonesia with more than 35 years of experience as gender expert working for various international organizations, including Asian Development Bank (ADB), World Resources Institute (WRI), Millennium Challenge Account Indonesia, The Ford Foundation, and HIVOS. Since 2018, Ms. Aripurnami has been involved as delegate of W20, an engagement group of G20 to advocate the betterment of women’s position and condition in the G20 countries members. She presently serves as the Executive Director of the Women Research Institute Indonesia where her work focuses on promoting leadership and inclusive, gender-based, and sustainable natural resource governance. Her work includes promoting gender equality in various sectors, particularly using gender lenses in project planning and preparation. Ms. Aripurnami has a bachelor's degree in psychology from University of Indonesia, Jakarta, Indonesia, and a master’s degree in Gender (Gender Relations) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, London, UK.
