Project Description

MCDF funding is focused on enhancing collaboration between the Indonesian Government and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to carry out high-quality project preparation for AIIB’s proposed investment in the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) (Cinto Kenang to Sentjalang) Project. MCDF funding will bolster environmental and social (ES) safeguards and road safety - in line with better understanding the secondary impacts of the proposed AIIB investment.

Alignment with MCDF Core Values

The MCDF grant will help the Indonesian Government meet International Financial Institution (IFI) standards necessary to carry out the AIIB project. MCDF’s contribution aligns with its key objective of promoting connectivity, as the AIIB project will contribute to improving domestic and cross-border connectivity.
