Experience

Mr. Diaw holds the position of Country Manager of the Egypt Country Office of the African Development Bank since November 2022. Prior to that, he was between 2018 and 2022 Manager of the Division for Portfolio and Implement Support and Officer in Charge of the position of Deputy Director General of the North African Regional Hub from October 2021 to December 2022.

Mr. Diaw is a seasoned development expert and manager with more than 29 years of relevant professional experience in Africa. He joined the Bank in April 2000 and respectively held the positions of Senior/Principal Financial Analyst, Principal/Chief Country Program Officer and Manager. At the Bank, M. Diaw has developed an extensive experience in the: (i) preparation of country and regional strategies; (ii) development of structural programs/projects; (iii) implementation of large portfolio of programs/projects; (iv) supervision and monitoring of large portfolio of programs/projects; (v) engagement of high-level dialogue with countries in Central and Northern Africa and with Regional Economic Communities and (vi) management of Country Office and regional Department. Mr. Diaw have worked in Central, North and West Africa regions.

Mr. Diaw holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University of Montreal in Canada and a Master degree in Finance from the Webster University in the USA.
