Ibrahim Hamid as Principal Procurement Operations Officer is responsible for ensuring that AFDB’s investment operations in Egypt & Libya is comply with the Bank Procurement policies and Procedure and oversee the implementation of Projects and ensure are in line with the Bank’s Procurement Operations Framework. Ibrahim holds a master’s degree in international trade and development from University of Khartoum. Ibrahim Hamid has sound experience in working on country public procurement and fiduciary reviews and reforms. He has experience in providing capacity-building training on public procurement policies, as well as contract management. Prior to his current role at the AFDB, he worked as a supply chain manager in various private sector companies, and as a procurement specialist for several international non-government organizations and projects financed by different donors particularly in the infrastructure, agriculture, social, and energy sectors.
