Zheng leads the Department of Strategy, Policy and Budget (SPB) and is responsible for ensuring that AIIB’s investment operations comply with all operational policies and are in line with the Bank’s Corporate Strategy and other strategies. She oversees the development and implementation of AIIB’s strategies and operational policies, including the Corporate Strategy and sector strategies, and its environmental, social and procurement policies. She leads the SPB teams to coordinate investment operation screening and policy assurance and prepare the annual business plan and budget. She served in a variety of leadership capacities at China’s Ministry of Finance prior to joining AIIB and was co-Chair of the G20 Infrastructure and Investment Working Group in 2016 during the China G20 presidency. She holds a master’s degree in economics from both the Graduate School of the People’s Bank of China and the University of Manchester. Zheng is from China.
