Muzaffar Ahmad is an Environment Specialist at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). In his role, Muzaffar focuses on integrating environmental and safety aspects into AIIB operations. He also serves as the focal point for Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) considerations in project design, construction and operation to lead AIIB’s efforts in enhancing OHS performance and reporting across the Bank’s operations. Before joining AIIB, Muzaffar worked with the World Bank in Sydney, Australia, applying ESF requirements to projects across the Pacific Island Countries. Muzaffar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Pakistan and a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from University of Melbourne, Australia. He is also a certified expert in Climate Change & Renewable Energy Finance. His work ensures that AIIB projects are not only environmentally sound but also meet the highest standards of health and safety, contributing to the Bank’s sustainable development goals.
