Yayan current position is Head of Social and Environmental Division (SED) at PT. Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF), where he promotes the implementation of IIF’s Social and Environment Principles in infrastructure projects financed by IIF.  As Head of SED, he leads and provides guidance on day-to-day operational issues and compliance with IIF Social and Environmental Principles. Work with problems and issues that may involve high risk by preparing the required S&E covenants in the loan agreements. Prepare regular reporting on S&E Performance to strategic investors. Undertake social and environmental due diligence (SEDD), assist in public consultations and disclosure activities to support the implementation, and ensure compliance with the IIF’s Principle. Other key tasks are to monitor and supervise projects funded by IIF to ensure on-going compliance. 

He has had a leading role in developing and implementing projects in areas related to Sustainable Landscape Management and REDD+ projects in Indonesia. He has worked in research and practices in several sectors, including forestry research, local livelihood, and land tenure security. Yayan has authored and contributed to multiple journal papers and publications. Yayan has a master's in environmental management and development (MEMD) from the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University (ANU).
