Co-organized by the Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF), Ministry of Finance of Saudi Arabia, Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), and Asian Development Bank (ADB), this workshop series aims to share practical experiences on innovations in renewable energy technologies and services among developing countries, technology companies, emerging economy financiers, and international financial institutions. The series will include a discussion of connectivity and standards related to frontier renewable energy technologies.
While the series will be generally open to all developing countries, it will focus on Asia and Africa and is intended for:
- Officials from ministries of energy, industry, technology, research, planning, and finance in developing countries
- Officials from financial institutions in developing countries working in the energy sector
- Staff of renewable energy technology companies and power and grid utilities
- Staff from International Financial Institutions (IFIs) and other partners
The Workshop Series will be delivered virtually in 2 to 2.5-hour panels, held approximately every month. Speaker presentations, case studies, and discussions will be conducted in English.
Presentations and related knowledge products will be uploaded on MCDF’s website and JIGSAW platform.
Participants will engage through small group discussions, quick-answer apps, and question-and-answer sessions at the end of each panel discussion.
