The Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF) invites amateurs and professionals from all countries and regions to submit up to three of your original photos, taken by phone or camera, that show how connectivity infrastructure is helping to realize a more prosperous and sustainable future. The contest reflects MCDF’s mission to promote “high-quality” connectivity infrastructure investment through partnerships.
All participants have a chance to win cash prizes and see their photos recognized on MCDF’s website, LinkedIn account, and other channels. For staff of International Financial Institutions, country ministries and agencies, and development partners, this is an opportunity to showcase your work to your professional peers and the public. The submission deadline is 21 December 2026 at 09:00 (GMT+8). Photo submissions should spotlight one or more of MCDF’s four sector focus areas:
Transportation and Logistics
Clean and Renewable Energy
Information and Communications Technology
(e.g., rivers, lakes, canals, seas, etc. that connect one or more countries)
Prize Information
*NOTE: Each cash prize will be awarded by fund transfer to the winner's bank account and the certificate will be sent by email
Selection of Winning Photos
Photo submissions will be shortlisted by the MCDF Secretariat and the winners will be selected by the MCDF CEO, members of the MCDF Governing Committee (GC) and the MCDF Coordination Committee (CC), and representatives of CC observer countries and institutions.
Submissions will be evaluated based on the criteria in the table below.
The winners and their photos will be announced on the MCDF website and MCDF LinkedIn account per the dates in the Prize Information table above. Winning entrants will be contacted by email.
Entry Rules
- Each participant may submit up to three photographs using the Submission Form below until 21 December 2026 at 09:00 (GMT+8)
- Photographs submitted by email or other channels, or after the deadline, will not be accepted
- Submitted forms cannot be changed and multiple submission forms from a single entrant will not be accepted
- Submission forms should include a completed caption up to 100 words describing a submitted photograph’s relevance and location
- Submission forms must include complete Participant Information
Technical Requirements
- Original, high-resolution photographs only
- Only unedited photographs accepted
- No artificial intelligence- (AI) created photographs or images permitted
- No photographs which use AI tools to add or materially alter image content permitted
- Landscape or portrait photographs accepted
- JPEG or PNG format only
- Minimum resolution: 3,000 x 2,000 pixels, 300 DPI
- File size for each photo should not exceed 15MB

On the Submission Form, please read, understand, and agree with the following:
- I am the sole author and copyright holder of the submitted photograph(s).
- The photograph(s) do not infringe on any third-party rights.
- The photograph(s) are original and taken by me and do not include AI-generated images or images substantially generated or altered by AI tools.
- Any identifiable individuals in the photograph(s) are at least 18 years old and have granted their permission for the photograph(s) to be used in the contest, including for MCDF’s promotional purposes.
- I accept the contest’s terms and licensing conditions.
- I represent and warrant that the provided Participant Information and photograph caption(s) are true and accurate.
- I indemnify and hold harmless MCDF, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) as Administrator of MCDF, and their respective officers, employees, and agents from any claims arising out of third-party copyright violations or privacy concerns.
On the Submission Form, please read, understand, and agree with the following:
- All submitted photographs are original and taken by me as the entrant. By submitting these photograph(s), I confirm that I own the copyright of the photograph(s) and the photograph(s) do not infringe on any third-party rights.
- I, as the entrant, retain full copyright of my submitted photograph(s) but grant the Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF) a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, edit, display, and distribute the photograph(s) for promotional purposes related to this contest and its future editions, and any of MCDF’s broader promotional purposes five years from the date of submission.
- If any of my photograph submissions are awarded one of the prizes on offer as part of this competition, I further agree to grant MCDF a perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use my winning photograph in any media or publication related to MCDF’s work. Credit to the photographer by name will be given where possible.
