The Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF) is seeking original photo submissions showcasing the transformative power of investing in sustainable, high-quality connectivity infrastructure, which MCDF promotes through partnerships. Photo submissions should reflect one or more of MCDF’s four sector focus areas:
Transport and Logistics
Clean and Renewable Energy
Information and Communications Technology
(e.g., rivers, lakes, canals, seas, etc. that connect one or more countries)
Prize Information
*NOTE: Each prize will be awarded by fund transfer to winner's bank account and the certificate will be sent by email
Selection of Winning Photos
Photo submissions will be shortlisted by the MCDF Secretariat and the winners will be selected by the MCDF CEO, members of the MCDF Governing Committee (GC) and the MCDF Coordination Committee (CC), and representatives of CC observer countries and institutions.
Submissions will be evaluated based on the criteria in the table below.
The winners and their photos will be announced on the MCDF website and MCDF LinkedIn account per the dates in the Prize Information table above. Winning entrants will be contacted by email.
Entry Rules
- Each participant may submit up to three photos using the Submission Form until 24 November 2025 at 09:00 (GMT+8)
- Photos submitted by email or other channels, or after the deadline, will not be accepted
- Submitted forms cannot be changed and multiple submission forms from a single entrant will not be accepted
- Submission forms should include a completed caption up to 100 words describing a submitted photo’s relevance and location
- Submission forms must include complete Participant Information
Technical Requirements
- Original, high-resolution photos only
- Only unedited photos accepted
- No artificial intelligence- (AI) created photos or images permitted
- Landscape or portrait photos accepted
- JPEG or PNG format only
- Minimum resolution: 3,000 x 2,000 pixels, 300 DPI
- File size for each photo should not exceed 15MB
Contest Terms and Declaration
On the Submission Form, please read, understand, and agree with the following:
- I am the sole author and copyright holder of the submitted photograph(s).
- The photo(s) does/do not infringe on any third-party rights.
- Any identifiable individuals in the photo(s) are at least 18 years old and have granted their permission for the photo(s) to be used in the contest, including for MCDF’s promotional purposes.
- I accept the contest’s terms and licensing conditions.
- I represent and warrant that the provided Participant Information and photo caption(s) is/are true and accurate.
- I indemnify MCDF from any claims arising out of third-party copyright violations or privacy concerns.
On the Submission Form, please read, understand, and agree with the following:
- All submitted photographs are original and taken by me as the entrant. By submitting this/these photo(s), I confirm that I own the copyright of the photo(s) and it/they do not infringe on any third-party rights.
- I, as the entrant, retain full copyright of my submitted photo(s) but grant the Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF) a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, edit, display, and distribute the photo(s) for promotional purposes related to this contest and its future editions, and any of MCDF’s broader promotional purposes.
- If any of my photo submissions are awarded one of the prizes on offer as part of this competition, I further agree to grant MCDF a perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use my winning photo in any media or publication related to MCDF’s work. Proper credit will be given where possible.
