Experience

Ekow Coleman is an APMG-certified Public-Private Partnership (PPP) professional and currently serves as Principal Infrastructure Investment Officer within the Infrastructure Partnerships Division of the African Development Bank (AfDB). He leads the coordination and implementation of the Bank’s PPP Strategic Framework (2021–2031), as well as its PPP Transaction Advisory Services, supporting Regional Member Countries and government contracting authorities in developing and bringing bankable PPPs to market.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Coleman worked with AfDB’s Private Sector and PPP Infrastructure Finance Division, where he led the identification, preparation, appraisal, structuring, execution, and promotion of non-sovereign transport and urban development infrastructure projects across Africa.

Before joining AfDB, he served as a Principal Investment Officer at the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF), where he was part of the pioneer team involved in the Fund’s development and formation. He also held various leadership roles at Ghana’s Ministry of Finance, including Head of the PPP Advisory Unit and Financial Analyst. There, he played a key role in establishing fully functional project and financial analysis, and PPP advisory units within the Public Investment Division.

Earlier in his career, he worked as a consultant and research/financial analyst at an investment banking and advisory group in Ghana.
