Experience

Eric Lancelot is a Transport Engineer and Economist with 30 years of professional experience. He joined the World Bank in 2005 after a decade working in both the public and private sectors in developing countries.

He has since held various roles at the Bank, including Program Leader for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure in West Africa (2015–2019) and Central America (2019–2022).

He currently serves as Lead Transport Specialist for the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Region and Global Lead for Resilient and Safe Infrastructure. He has authored papers on Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and Performance-Based Contracting (PBC), and currently leads the World Bank’s initiative on road asset performance-based management.
