Project Description

The MCDF grant will help enhance institutional capacity for digitalization of trade information systems in the East African Community (EAC) and improve connectivity and transparency in cross-border trade between the EAC countries and beyond.

The activities to be financed by the grant will include enhancement of trade information portals, development of regional trade reform tracking tools, trainings, and technical upgrade of customs systems.

Alignment with MCDF Core Values

The MCDF grant will build the institutional capacity of EAC on digital trade connectivity and contribute to the broader goal towards a regional single window and improved market access for the private sector and public agencies.
