Project Description

This MCDF grant-supported project is intended to help the Binational Commission Secretariat responsible for the development of the Puyago-Tumbes Transboundary Water Basin area with planning and coordination, data collection and analytics, stakeholder engagement, and proposals aimed at addressing challenges in the basin, including pollution and water management issues.

To ensure alignment of domestic and regional priorities, and raise awareness among domestic and local stakeholders of the importance of effective management of water resources and transboundary river basins, actions will focus on strengthening institutional mechanisms, management decision-making tools, and training and knowledge sharing.
