Project Description

The MCDF grant will support capacity building to strengthen digital information sharing and coordination among Guinea, Mali, Mauritania, and Senegal in managing the Senegal River Basin through Organization for the Development of the Senegal River (OMVS). It will strengthen digital institutional systems, geospatial capacity, data governance, and digital monitoring and decision-support tools, supported by applied training and post-training institutional support.

Alignment with MCDF Core Values

The MCDF grant will finance institutional capacity building for OMVS and its Member States, including strengthening capacity related to environmental and social safeguards and the application of high-quality infrastructure standards in regional planning and coordination.
