Project Description

The MCDF grant will fund high-quality project preparation that will help promote energy connectivity between Egypt and Sudan to integrate their respective networks and thereby develop an ability for the building of bigger power projects to meet larger regional markets.

The activities to be financed by the grant will include consultancy services to support detailed feasibility studies and due diligence, environmental and social assessments, conceptual design, and the preparation of bidding documents.

The MCDF grant will support the high-quality project preparation of a large-scale, innovative, and high-priority energy connectivity project to meet IFI standards.
