Project Description

The MCDF grant will provide concept development support under the Joint 3-Year Program Supporting Infrastructure Connectivity in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region. The grant is expected to lay the groundwork for investment proposals to sustainably upgrade direct road links among four provinces in northeastern Cambodia – Kratie, Mondul Kiri, Ratanak Kiri, and Steung Treng – and better connect these provinces with the rest of the country and neighboring ASEAN countries.

Activities to be financed by the grant include a diagnostic study of the existing road infrastructure in northeastern Cambodia, development of a connectivity master plan, and a preliminary study for the prospective investment.

Alignment with MCDF Core Values

The MCDF grant is expected to help identify potential investment projects in line with the 2025 ASEAN Connectivity Master Plan, and support project preparation work in line with International Financial Institution standards.
