Project Description

The MCDF grant is supporting the preparation of the Bogotá Multimodal Integration Terminals Project. The project is focused on structuring Modal Integration Complexes in the Bogotá-Cundinamarca metropolitan region that will support the expansion, modernization, and new development of intermunicipal bus terminals and their integration with existing mass transit systems.

Activities being financed by the grant include a feasibility study covering technical, legal, financial, land, environmental, social, operations, and corporate aspects.

Alignment with MCDF Core Values

The findings of the feasibility study will help ensure the project meets sustainability standards required for financing by CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, which could be accompanied by cofinancing by Columbia’s national development Bank, Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional, an MCDF New Partner. The integration of transport systems will link Colombia’s heartland with border crossings and international gateways.
