Project Description

The MCDF grant supports the preparation of Nigeria’s Project Building Resilient Digital Infrastructure for Growth (BRIDGE), which will deliver universal broadband and enhance regional digital connectivity.

The grant is funding comprehensive technical, financial, regulatory, environmental and social, and operational studies to facilitate prospective co-financing from the African Development Bank, Africa Finance Corporation, and World Bank, in line with International Financial Institution standards.

The grant is supporting comprehensive studies for a large-scale fiber deployment, going beyond Nigeria's domestic needs by extending high-capacity, resilient fiber backbone infrastructure to its borders and promoting open access.
