Project Description

The MCDF grant will finance a feasibility study and provide technical support for the preparation of a project to rehabilitate National Road 78C in northeastern Cambodia to enable all-weather operations, improve road safety and regional connectivity, and enhance access to border crossings with Lao PDR and Viet Nam. The project will also support new bridges to replace cross-river ferries, reducing travel times and improving passenger and freight movement.

MCDF’s grant will help ensure the project qualifies for financing by AIIB and partners and supports high-quality, sustainable connectivity infrastructure by promoting cross-border connectivity, climate resilience, road safety, and compliance with international standards and good practices from the project preparation stage.
