Erick Mariga joined the Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF) as a Sustainable Development Specialist in March 2025.
Erick leads MCDF’s knowledge-sharing work on International Financial Institution standards and best practices in the areas of climate-smart connectivity infrastructure, public-private partnerships (PPPs), and cross-border connectivity. He also provides general support to MCDF’s Collaboration Platform.
Prior to joining MCDF, Erick worked for the African Development Bank for nine years in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Cote D’Ivoire. He brings extensive experience supporting climate resilience and regional integration research, infrastructure projects, and capacity building programs on regulatory and policy reform.
Erick holds a doctor of philosophy (PhD) and a master’s degree in development studies from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa.
In his free time, Erick enjoys reading novels, listening to podcasts, and taking nature trails.
