Pedro Henrique de Melo joined the Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF) Secretariat as Governance Officer in May 2026.
Pedro supports MCDF’s governance work, including the preparation, coordination, and follow-up of meetings and decision-making processes involving the MCDF Governing Committee and the MCDF Coordination Committee. He contributes to institutional coordination, documentation, procedural consistency, and engagement with members and stakeholders.
Prior to joining MCDF, Pedro worked at the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) in Helsinki, Finland as Advisor to the Secretary General and General Counsel, supporting NIB’s statutory bodies, including the Board of Directors, Board of Governors, and Control Committee. Previously, he worked at the International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID) in Vienna, Austria and Lisbon, Portugal as Governing Bodies Officer, supporting the Council of Parties and Board of Directors, contributing to governance policy development, and helping coordinate KAICIID’s relocation from Vienna to Lisbon.
Pedro is a Brazilian and Italian national. He holds a master’s degree in advanced international studies from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna and the University of Vienna, and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais in Brazil.
