Rui is responsible for overseeing support provided to the MCDF Governing Committee and the MCDF Coordination Committee in performing their governing functions, as well as the daily operations of the MCDF Secretariat in terms of administration and financial management.
She joined the Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF) Secretariat in 2021. Prior to that, she worked as a consultant for the interim MCDF Secretariat and was involved in the design and launch of MCDF.
Before joining MCDF, Rui gained extensive experience in the development finance field. She worked as the Director of the Foreign Direct Investment Desk in Beijing for the Italian Trade and Investment Agency from 2017 to 2019, and as China country manager at the Italian National Agency for Inward Investment and Enterprise Development in Rome from 2004 to 2017. Earlier in her career, she worked as a management consultant for McKinsey Milan from 2000 to 2001.
Rui is a Chinese national. She holds an MBA degree from the University of Bocconi (Milan), a master's degree in international economics and finance from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (Milan), and a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of International Business and Economics (Beijing).
