SUMMARY

Workshop Series

Building on the success of the 2024 and 2025 series, the 2026 Workshop Series on Public-Private Partnership Hot Topics is designed for public-private partnership (PPP) professionals affiliated with governments, financiers, developers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders. The three-part series will offer participants opportunities to:

  • Better understand the latest “frontier issues” in PPPs, such as developments in PPP capacity building, PPP transaction design, and data center PPPs
  • Learn from, and collaborate with, experts from leading International Financial Institutions (IFIs), who will share their latest thinking and tools
  • Learn practical approaches to addressing common PPP project development and implementation challenges from experienced PPP units in developing countries
  • Engage with other practitioners and build stronger professional networks
  • Request further support through the feedback survey at the end of each workshop

Certificate

Participants will receive a certificate at the end of each session upon completing a feedback form.

Workshop on Innovations in PPP Transaction Design

This workshop will examine a range of innovations in PPP transaction design that the workshop series IFI co-organizers are involved in. It will spotlight experiences and lessons pertaining to PPPs for complex infrastructure operations and maintenance (O&M) arrangements and hybrid models involving public financing, among others.

Jyoti Bisbey
Infrastructure and Climate Finance Innovator
<p>Jyoti Bisbey is a globally recognized infrastructure and climate finance innovator, with over 20 years of experience in advancing green, resilient infrastructure finance, and public-private partnerships (PPPs) across developing countries. She has held senior roles at the World Bank Group, United Nations, and World Association of PPP units and professionals (WAPPP), where she supported governments in building robust public investment pipelines, structuring bankable PPP projects, and mobilizing finance for climate-resilient infrastructure. J</p> <p>Jyoti has been instrumental in shaping global standards for private investment in infrastructure. She led the creation of two major international benchmarks, Certified PPP Professional and Private Capital Mobilization, and currently serves on the Executive Advisory Committee for the FAST-Infra Sustainable Infrastructure Label and as a member of the Resilience Taxonomy Advisory Group of Climate Bonds Initiative. She also leads the Climate Mitigation and Adaptation Technical Panel for the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe PPP and Infrastructure Evaluation and Rating System. Her leadership extends across global networks and advisory boards, including serving as an Executive Committee Member of WAPPP, Climate Advisor to the International Resilience and Sustainability Center, and member of the Sustainable and Innovative Financing Advisory Board of InfraBlocks Technologies Pte Ltd. Additionally, she is Associate Editor of the Journal of Infrastructure, Policy, and Development at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.</p> <p>Jyoti has published extensively on leveraging private sector finance to deliver resilient, green, and inclusive infrastructure. Her work bridges policy, finance, and sustainability to drive transformational changes in public investments. She holds an executive diploma from Harvard University, an MBA from George Washington University, and an honors degree in mathematics from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi.</p>
AUDIENCE

The workshop is tailored for staff from PPP units, ministries of finance and planning, and PPP practitioners from Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East and North Africa, and Asia. Project developers, financiers, contractors, and consulting companies were also welcomed.

FORMAT

The workshop will be held virtually. Presentations and discussions will be conducted in English. MCDF’s event platform will provide simultaneous, AI-generated written translation in 30 languages.

Participants will be engaged through survey apps, and question and answer sessions at the end of each panel discussion.

Video recordings, presentations, and background materials of select workshop content will be uploaded on the MCDF website.
