West African Development Bank (Banque Ouest Africaine de Développement, or BOAD) was accredited to be an Implementing Partner of the Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF) Finance Facility by the MCDF Governing Committee, in concurrence with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the MCDF Administrator.
BOAD will be the eighth Implementing Partner of the MCDF Finance Facility.
The other seven MCDF Finance Facility Implementing Partners are the African Development Bank, Africa Finance Corporation, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, International Fund for Agricultural Development, Islamic Development Bank, and Caribbean Development Bank.
To date, the MCDF Finance Facility has provided 48 approved grants to support cross-border connectivity infrastructure projects, reaching a total amount of USD55.3 million, which is expected to mobilize USD8.8 billion in investment in Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean.
